Report of a flour theft to the King's Prosecutor at Arras, [1827]
Undated French report addressed to the King's Prosecutor at the Palace of Justice in Arras. It concerns an alleged theft of sifted flour from Mr Dewez at Mory and bears a later administrative note recording the outcome at the assizes in February 1827.

son Bergey lui a volé 45 livre de
farine passée lon et etonné que
Lindividue n'eit pas encore arreté, Cela
a eté fait des jours ^depuis deja je vous
ecrit pour suivre le delinquant L'on eit
surpris dans la commune que lon entend
parler de rien
la veritez
Mouchonblé , berger , a eté acquitté aux
assises du mois de février 1827.

English translation
Sir, I inform you that a theft has been committed at Mr. Dewez's in Morie, that his shepherd stole from him 45 pounds of sifted flour. People are surprised that the individual is not yet arrested. This was done some days ago already. I write to you to pursue the delinquent. People are surprised in the municipality that nothing is heard about it. The truth. Mouchonblé, shepherd, was acquitted at the assizes of the month of February 1827.
