Toulouse le 14 7bre 1832.

Messieurs Cheveneau Freres

mon pere me dit que le 5. ct il m'a [donné?] une
lettre pour vous, ayant omis de vous laisser mon
adresse je viens vous prier de m'envoyer cette lettre chez
Mr Courtois & Cie à Toulouse. si vous en avez payé le
port, veuillez vous le faire rembourser par le facteur de la poste,
et effacer votre nom sur la lettre, et le remplacer par
celui que je vous indique.
J'ai été saisi en arrivant ici par une violente attaque
de poitrine, je commence a aller un peu mieux, l'influence
de l'air cholérique commence a se faire sentir, et mon Medecin
me disoit qu'il y avoit à toulouse un grand nombre de malades
de la cholérine on dit toujours le choléra véritable a toulouse
Je désire pour vous et votre famille que cette maladie
n'aille pas vous rendre visite je vous souhaite une
Bonne & parfaite.

Toulouse the 14th of September 1832.

Messrs. Cheveneau Brothers

My father tells me that on the 5th of this month he gave me a
letter for you, having omitted to leave you my
address I come to ask you to send me this letter care of
Mr. Courtois & Co. in Toulouse. If you have paid the
postage for it, please have yourself reimbursed by the postman,
and erase your name on the letter, and replace it with
the one I am indicating to you.
I was seized upon arriving here by a violent attack
of the chest, I am starting to feel a little better, the influence
of the choleric air is starting to be felt, and my Doctor
was telling me that there was in Toulouse a large number of sick people
with cholerine they still say the real cholera is in Toulouse
I desire for you and your family that this disease
will not go to visit you I wish you a
Good & perfect [health].
