je vois Monsieur, que je nentents rien en affaire, car
M. votre Confrere aurait pu vous éviter lembaras de
mecrie, en menvoyant lacte d'acquisition de ce morceau
de Pré à signer; cet acte eut été remis en ses mains
dans les 48 heures, délai fixé je crois pour ces sortes
de choses; mon éxactitude à vous répondre, vous prouvera
peut-être mon entetement a vouloir avoir raison,
car ma léttre vous parviendra avant le délai éxpiré
je vous prie de remettre cétte procuration a M. le
Houx qui ma fait faire cétte acquisition, je vais
signer cétte procuration Comme vous me lindiquez

Alençon this 9 December 1838

I see, Monsieur, that I understand nothing of business, for
Monsieur your colleague could have spared you the trouble of
writing to me, by sending me the deed of purchase for this piece
of meadow to sign; this deed would have been returned to his hands
within 48 hours, the time limit set I believe for these sorts
of things; my exactness in answering you, will prove to you
perhaps my stubbornness in wanting to be right,
for my letter will reach you before the time limit expires.
I beg you to hand over this power of attorney to M. le
Houx who had me make this purchase, I am going to
sign this power of attorney as you indicate to me
I have the honor to be Monsieur your very obedient
servant Drugeon Boimbœuf =
