Monsieur,
la presante est pour Vous Souhaiter une
bonne Sante inssi qu'a Madame Votre
Epouse et inssi qu'à Vos enfant. Mr
Je viens de recevoir une lettre de ma
tante Veuve Bordesoulle au Sujet de
ma terre de la Sagne dont elle me dit
que vous nétoyez très bien le fossé mais
aulieu de de Mettre la terre de mon Coté
Vous la mettez du Coté de Votre haie et que
Vous laissez une très grande distance n'éxige
pas entre brave Voisin qu'il ne Soit pas
Comblé mais quil Soit fait amoins de ter-
-rain quil est. ma tante me dit aussi que
Vous avez recu une lettre de moi que Vous
pretandez en faire un titre efectivement
Vous en avez Reçu une par la quelle Je
Vous avez prier de nétoyer le fossé pen

Paris, 21 February 1835.
Sir,
This letter is to wish you good
health, as well as your wife
and your children. Sir,
I have just received a letter from my
aunt, Widow Bordesoulle, concerning
my land at La Sagne. She tells me
that you are cleaning the ditch very well, but
instead of putting the soil on my side
you are putting it on the side of your hedge, and that
you are leaving a very large gap. Between
good neighbours it should not remain
unfilled, but should be made with less ground
than it is. My aunt also tells me that
you received a letter from me which you
claim to use as a title. Indeed,
you received one in which I
asked you to clean the ditch during
the year. As I was not

much obliged to you. My aunt also asks me
about the small indemnities that you had agreed
with my late father. Please therefore, Sir,
take them into account for her while she has
