Messieurs Perenod fils & Boiteux a Couvet

Je vous prie Messieurs de m'envoyer de recheff deux
Caisses de 30. à 36 bout[eilles] Chaqu'une de votre Extrait d'absinthe
au meilleur Prix que vous pourez ou au moins de la
Maniere acoutumée, vous me les rendrés come les derni=
=ères franco au Bureau de la Poste a Neuchatel,
en y faisant la Déclaration, que c'est pour mon Compte
particulier, mais je vous prie executer cette Commission
encore dans le courant de ce Mois, en ce que a ce que je
crois, que suivant les arrangement des Postes de Berne et
Neuchatel, les Diligences n'iront après plus a mon Compte
et cela me ferait alors grande Difference sur le Port

Basel this 15 August 1808

Messieurs Perenod fils & Boiteux at Couvet

I pray you, Gentlemen, to send me once again two
cases of 30 to 36 bottles each of your absinthe extract
at the best price you can or at least in the
customary manner, you will deliver them to me like the last
ones franco at the Post Office in Neuchâtel,
making the declaration there that it is for my private
account, but I pray you to execute this commission
still in the course of this month, because from what I
believe, that according to the arrangement of the Posts of Bern and
Neuchâtel, the stagecoaches will no longer go on my account afterwards
and that would then make a great difference to me on the postage.
