Monsieur

Je ne vous ait pas dit que je voulois que
mon Extrait arivat absolument pour
[d'impot?] je vous ait Seulement dit ceque
le conducteur pouvoit fair, Mais pour
le peu que a les [travois?] de retart dans
son Expedition vous concevez parfaitemt
que je ne peu pas attendre [la deue?]
ayant fait traite sur moi je vous
prie de m'envoyer de suite la caisse
en question ci joint la lettre de Monsieur
Bovet fils depuis huit jours je me
trouve obligé d'acheter de l'Extrait
de droite et de gauche -

Bern, 23 November 1813

Sir,

I did not tell you that I wanted my Extract to arrive absolutely by [uncertain]; I only told you what the carrier could do. But given the [uncertain transport delay] in its dispatch, you understand perfectly that I cannot wait [uncertain], having had a draft drawn on me. Please send me the case in question immediately. Enclosed is the letter from Mr Bovet fils. For eight days I have been obliged to buy Extract from one place and another.
