Neuchatel the 15th of July 1828.
Mr. Pernod fils in Couvet
We have before us your dear letters
of the 7th, 9th, & 15th of the current month; following the first we have
dispatched to Mr. Dachoff, Doctor behind the butcher shop
in Zurich
PF No 2650, 1 packed barrel of Extract which please
acknowledge to our discharge. Let us say
In response to your second we will tell you
that we believed we were following your intentions by following
the orders of Mr. Gge Chatenay for the case
PF No 2848. which we had withdrawn from the Faucon
and which we delivered to him upon his request,
having never received notice from you that he
would no longer travel for your account and would no longer take care
of your affairs, we had all the more reason
to believe the contrary as we knew that he
had refused offers from your competitors, because
he was expecting at any moment to receive
the order to set out on his way.
We thought to withdraw the said case from
Mr. [..]kely brothers where we had taken it
but it was no longer time, for it was
requested from us to send it to Berlin.
