Je vous confirme, Messieurs, ma lettre
du 10 Septembre d[erni]er.
Ayant eu besoin d'un appoint pour compléter
une certaine somme, j'ai pris la liberté de disposer
sur vous, Messieurs, à vue, pour le montant de mes
commissions me revenant sur les envois suivants :

M.r Coradin Dubied de Boveresse, est
venu m'offrir, hier, 7 à 800 K.os petite absinthe nouvelle
au prix de 65 f.s % K.os en gare de Boveresse, balles
en sus, au comptant. Il la garantit jolie.
Peut-être la laisserait-il à un prix inférieur
parce qu'il tient à la vendre de suite.
Ce sont là, me dit-il, à peu près les prix, je
pense donc que Mesdames Dubied Sœurs, du même lieu,
qui ont une forte partie qu'elles conserveraient, au besoin,
jusqu'en Mars, se soumettraient au même prix.
J'ai dit à M. Coradin Dubied que je lui
communiquerais votre réponse dans 8 à 10 jours.
Je crois bien faire de vous transmettre ces
bas prix offerts.

Messrs Noilly Prat & Cie, Marseille

Gentlemen, I confirm my letter of September 10 last. As I needed an additional amount to complete a certain sum, I took the liberty of drawing on you at sight for the commissions due to me on the following shipments:

No. 1004, Gay de Sussy shipment, July 23, 1867;
No. 1731, V. Grenier de Cie shipment, July 21, 1867;
No. 2013, shipment of 22 bales of old petite absinthe from Val-de-Travers, according to my letter of August 22, 1868;
No. 1996, shipment of 24 bales of the same, according to my letter of September 10, 1868.

Total weight, 6,744 kilograms; commission at 3 francs per 100 kilograms: 202.30 francs. This is the sum of the draft drawn in settlement, which I ask you to honour in the customary manner, thereby obliging me.

Yesterday Mr Coradin Dubied of Boveresse offered me 700 to 800 kilograms of new petite absinthe at 65 francs per 100 kilograms at Boveresse station, packaging extra, for cash. He guarantees it to be fine. He might perhaps let it go at a lower price because he is eager to sell it at once.

Those, he tells me, are approximately the going prices. I therefore think that the Dubied sisters of the same place, who have a large lot that they would retain until March if necessary, would accept the same price.

I told Mr Coradin Dubied that I would communicate your reply to him within eight to ten days. I believe I am doing right to inform you of these low offered prices.
