Mon cher fritz, parcoure tout le faubourg
arrive près du cret, entre chez Mad. Godet,
arrête toi au premier étage en face de l'escalier
ouvre une porte et tu te trouveras au milieu
de mon salon, qui est fort beau au dire des
amateurs qui admirent le bon goût de l'étoffe
du meuble, puis les jolis petits tapis devant les
chaises, à droite est ma chambre à coucher avec
un lit sans rideaux (ce qui est dans ma convenance
le lit de repos noir de la chambre à manger de
fleurier, les chaises idem, mon burreau, une commode
au dessus de la qu'elle est ton ch[?]ill, puis traverse
le salon tu trouveras ma chambre à manger
avec une table six chaises en paille, un bufet
dans le fond, et pour preuve des vicicitudes humaine
ma pendule, compagne de mon enfance, et qui dans
sa vieillesse na pu suporter le voyage, et m'est attiré
comme un corps mort gardant un impertublable
silence, ce qui m'est assez désagréable à cette distance
de la ville; souvent je suis dans le cas d'aller savoir
chez mes voisines l'heure qu'il est. J'ai encore une
chambre pour mes amis, mes neveux et nièces surtout
mes filleuls, de celle ci on ne voit pas comme des autres
le lac et les Alpes, mais on enfille toute la ville, et

et toujours ma reponse est, les voies de Dieu ne sont
pas les nôtres, puisse-ai-je entrer dans ses vues et les
comprendre, pour employer le tems qu'il me donne encore
à passer sur cette terre, à le servir et à l'adorer, je ne
lui demande pas d'augmenter mon affection pour toi
mon cher fritz cela serait impossible, mais je lui
demande de te bénir dans tes espérances, dans tes
entreprises, que cette année loin d'éclaircir nos rangs
les resert, que nous voyons autour de nous des enfants
élevés dans notre religion et préparé pour le but
finale de la vie, mes voeux s'étendent sur ta femme et
sur tes enfants dis le leur en leur faisant mes plus
tendres complimens, annonce à cette première deux petites
brassières que ainsi que quelques paires de bas atten
dent une occasion, a moins que vous n'aimiez mieux
courir les chances du roulage pour un petit paquet
puis les frais du 30 pour 100, d'entrée, ce qui rendrait
les bas bien chers. je ne peux les évaluer en masse comme
le demande Ernestine, car cela dépend de la fourniture,

mort de Mme Du Pasquier, leur père et mère ont
encore plus besoin d'eux surtout en l'absence de Melle
Julie; la santé de Carolinne ne souffre pas de ces
courses journalières, même elle me paroit mieux
les enfants grandissent Elisa devient sage, et Jules
turbulent, il aurait bien besoin d'un petit frère
espérons le pour l'année qui va commencer. je ne
sais ce qui en sera à Montet. Philippine qui a
passé deux jours chez son frère est toujours s'a[?]
belle et immence en corpulence. ta soeur Emelie
m'écrit que Jean est de plus en plus estropié.
j'en prends moins mon parti qu'elle. du reste de
la famille je ne sais que te dire, ma soeur Vaut
est une plante qui ne peut plus pousser de feuilles
le printems pourrait l'emmener. En Italie on garde
un superbe silence vis à vis de moi, un billet m'a
annoncé leur retour sous le toit paternel. pas les
étrangers (aux quels ils écrivent) je sais que ma
belle soeur va mieux, et est, très affligée de la mort
de son dernier parent, Mr Sandoz, il a laissé trois
petites filles et point d'héritier de son nom. Dieu

-sante envers l'être suprême, et envers les personnes
qui ne m'oublient pas, c'est te dire, mon cher fritz
que tu me fais éprouver ce sentiment. j'en parle
souvent à Mmes Godet qui vous disent mille
choses, si le tems, qui nous donne des fleurs le 25
Xbre se soutient nous irons faire en Janvier
une visite à Montet, ce sera voir les enfans de la
mère mais non pas elle; il faut la chercher la
haut! là haut! et aspirer à l'y joindre, et a nous
y tous réunir un jour; en attendant voyons nous
le plus souvent possible, ne nous manquez pas pour
l'été, que ton fils apprenne en naissant que la Suisse
est sa patrie, et qu'il y trouvera toujours des
