Monsieur Pernod fils,

Je vous prie de m'envoyer une petite caisse
d'absinthe d'environ 5 à 6 litres. Je vous paierai
par une traite comme vous voudrez. N'ayant
pas encore fait d'affaires avec vous, je pense que vous
pouvez avoir confiance en moi pour le paiement et
que j'aurai l'honneur de vous faire de nouvelles
commandes à l'avenir.

Envoi en gare de Vaux-sous-Aubigny.

Balland, cafetier à Percey-le-Petit.

Vous n'envoyez peut-être pas à moins de 10 litres ; ce sera à votre volonté.

Mr Pernod fils,

Please send me a small case containing about five to six litres of absinthe. I will pay by a bill of exchange, as you wish. As I have not previously done business with you, I hope you can trust me for payment and that I shall have the honour of placing further orders in the future.

Send to Vaux-sous-Aubigny station.

Balland, café proprietor in Percey-le-Petit.

Perhaps you do not send less than ten litres; I leave this to your discretion.
