Gentlemen
Herewith we hand you, your accounts to
30 June 1848 which we hope will be found correct. you will
observe we have given you credit for Cap Madue's bill omitted
in our last for £16.5/ the other item pointed out in your respects
of the 2 Sep 1847 of £4.16.3 is correct as per statement, it being
a charge for freight on 10 Hhds of [shot?] Souchay which we had
omitted to charge in the account sales, and which we thought
we had before pointed out – say
Nett proceeds as per rendered £509.12.9
less Freight omitted 4.16.3 £504.16.8
We are sorry to observe we omitted to charge Rent on several
sales rendered to you in June last amounting to £18.12.6
as per particulars on statement enclosed –
We also enclose a/c sales of all disposed of to 30 June together
with a statement of stock on hand on that day
The balance will be much reduced by the several amounts
now becoming due per Dixon, Knowles, Winkle, Page, Ness, Dixon, Granger

hope you will draw at 4 M/d per 22 July, adding one months Int
say £699.0.5 amt Invoice
one Mo Int 2.18.3 £701.18.8 this will fall due in
Nov which, they say, will suit them much better having at this
time of the year to make large purchases of Fruit & Sugar which
fall due in Oct, they purchase Raspberries by the Ton
weight at a time (chiefly in Ireland) they surprised us by saying
they use upwards of 20 Tons of annun in making Jam –
Messrs Maples assure us you shall not suffer by the confi
-dence you have placed in them –
The "Crescent" is now delivering her cargo when completed
you shall have sales of & Knowles & Co proportion as soon
as possible – We have seen these Gentlemen this morning
but cannot as yet persuade em to order more, upon the terms
passed in your favour of the 22 June tho' they say they feel
somewhat inclined to give you an additional order
Messrs Pim & Co have at length made up their minds to give
another order, they say the last you sent them was the best you
ever did ship for them, and should those now ordered by equal
they will double the quantity next time – they now wish
