Dear Sirs,

This merely serves to hand
you Duplicate of the orders, I sent you by last proceeding Steamer,
to serve if needful, as the "Britania" has been here for repairs and
might possibly be detained a little above her usual time

I forgot to request that the Invoice for Mr Woodgate had better
be filled up "% of the holder of the bill of lading", he being as yet
a perfect stranger to me as regards his standing

All the bills of lading for Mess Wolfe & Co may be filled up
to them, in lieu of order, he desired remarks being made on their
4/2 & 10/4 Casks coming separately.

I also ommitted to ask if you can, conveniently, name
to me a respectable House in Havre, to whom I can address
remittances for you for acceptances drawn on Havre, to save 2 or
3 days delay in first sending such drafts to Mess A Marcuard
& Co, which may at times be an object in securing immediate acceptance

Without further to Communicate just now I remain
Dear Sirs
Yours very respectfully
John A F Rachau
