Cognac 25 Mars 1845

Martell & Co

Cognac 25 March 1845

We have to acknowledge receipt, Gentlemen, of your
letter of the 23rd current announcing that you had entrusted
to M. Finot junior, notary in Ars, the papers relating to the ac-
quisition made by M Gabriel Martell from the family
of Beaupréau. M Finot had the kindness to bring
them to us this morning, and we thank you for all
your good care in this matter.

our country is like yours, devoid of brandy, and our
prices are consequently very firm: in a word we
do not believe that they can fall, even if
we were to have an abundant harvest this year.

Accept, Gentlemen, our very Sincere Salutations
Martell & Co
