Messieurs,

J'ai l'extreme honneur de vous faire a present a vs transmettre l'ordre
de Mess Buckles & B pour 50 Hogs Eaud. de vie faits present les
obtenir a ne pas exceder f 330. de bonne qualité & les charger sur
L'Iris a condition que ce navire partira avant le 11 novr
c/ epoque est bien reculée & sans doute il ne sera pas
necessaire d'attendre jusque la –
Demain je vais a Bristol je ferai mon possible pour
vs y etre utile. Mess Butler m'y ont engagés pour favoriser
de L'Iris pour s/ Jamaique. Je crois que Martell & May y sont
pour etre de retour ici le 30.
Je viens d'obtenir le Stock en bond total 5757 Pcs dont a
vue d'oeil 3000 etans sont Cognac. Les proprietaires sont
H[en]d[erso]n 1381. Buckles 640. Rack 255. Arb. 184

I have the extreme honor to transmit to you now the order
from Messrs Buckles & B for 50 Hogsheads of brandy, to be obtained at present
at a price not to exceed f 330. of good quality & to load them on
The Iris on condition that this ship will leave before the 11th of Nov.
this date is quite far off & without doubt it will not be
necessary to wait until then –
Tomorrow I am going to Bristol I will do my best to
be useful to you there. Messrs Butler have engaged me there to promote
The Iris for Jamaica. I believe that Martell & May are there
to be back here on the 30th.
I have just obtained the Stock in bond total 5757 Pieces of which at
a glance 3000 are Cognac. The owners are
H[en]d[erso]n 1381. Buckles 640. Rack 255. Arb. 184
