Je Recois ta Letre qui M'annonce que ton fils
francois etant entré a lhopital Pour 15 jours, tu as Renoncé
a faire le voyage de voiron
Sans doute un fils malade peut donner de l'inquietude
mais quand on t'annonce que sa maladie ne Sera que de 15 jours
de durée, Il me Semble que ne Partant Pas pour Paris, tu
aurais Pu metre ton projet a exécution. tu n'en Seras
Pas moin inquiet à Annonay et tu me contrarie beaucoup
Je me prometai ou Plutot nous nous prometions tant de
plaisir de vous voir, de vous embrasser! victor S'est levé
a 3 heure du Matin. me Disant qu'il allait a votre
rencontre jusqu'a la cote S.t andre. Je ne l'ai Laissé partir
qu'a 5 heure. Le Pauvre enfant Sera bien Desapointé et
cequi me tourmente c'est que comptant vous rencontrer
en route, Je Crainds qu'il n'ait point D'argent car Il a la Mauvaise
habitude de n'en pas Prendre. Il est à cheval.
Dieu Soit Loué ! c'est toujours des miens que j'éprouve
de Pareils Désagrements et si je connaissais moins ton coeur je
Pourais Penser que mes freres n'ont du Plaisir a me voir que
chèz eux et que venir chèz moi Jamais ....
Ne m'en veux pas de la Mauvaise humeur que je
te temoigne. Tiens moi compte au contraire de ma retenue
car Je ne te dis Pas le 1/4 de ceque je te Dirais tant je Suis
Desapointé, voire d'etre Privé de ta visite
tu ne me Donne Pas L'adresse de francois, Je doute
qu'il n'ait Pas Recu ma Letre Lorsque je lui ecrivis Puisqu'il
ne m'a Pas Repondu. donne la moi Desuite ainsi que celle
de l'hopital où Il est et j'écrirai a Mr Sapey Pour qu'il
le fasse visiter, et meme lui obtienne un Congé de
convalescence si tu le Desires. je Pense qu'entre lui et
Mr boissy d'anglas ils Pourait L'obtenir

I receive your letter which announces to me that your son François having entered the hospital for 15 days, you have given up making the trip to Voiron.
Without doubt a sick son can give worry, but when one announces to you that his illness will only be of 15 days duration, it seems to me that not leaving for Paris, you could have put your project into execution. You will not be any less worried in Annonay and you upset me a lot. I was promising myself, or rather we were promising ourselves, so much pleasure to see you, to embrace you! Victor got up at 3 o'clock in the morning, telling me that he was going to meet you as far as La Côte-Saint-André. I only let him leave at 5 o'clock. The poor child will be very disappointed and what torments me is that expecting to meet you on the way, I fear that he has no money at all because he has the bad habit of not taking any. He is on horseback.
God be praised! It is always from my own that I experience such unpleasantnesses, and if I knew your heart less I could think that my brothers only have pleasure in seeing me at their place and coming to my place never....
Do not be mad at me for the bad mood that I show you. Take into account, on the contrary, my restraint, because I do not tell you a 1/4 of what I would tell you, so much am I disappointed, indeed to be deprived of your visit.
You do not give me François's address, I doubt that he received my letter when I wrote to him since he did not answer me. Give it to me right away as well as that of the hospital where he is, and I will write to Mr. Sapey so that he has him visited, and even obtains for him a convalescence leave if you desire it. I think that between him and Mr. Boissy d'Anglas they could obtain it.
