Je te renvoie cher frere une lettre de ton fils
dans l'autre qu'il te dit de un compte 55 f 15 c tu me feras
plaisir de lui dire que je les lui donne & que je lui
ecrirai un 1er Jour, redonne m'en son adresse je te prie
Ma petite Lise, ta sœur a été assez fatiguée; son
lait en a été vivement affecté, ce pauvre enfant
avait hier les fesses rouge comme du sang de l'effort
de crier. sa mere s'en tourmentait d'une [affection?]
sur son lait parce elle a beaucoup trop. enfin Dieu
merci hier il semble vont beaucoup mieux depuis
hier ils ont bien dormi Dieu veuille que cela
continue. que les enfants donnent de soucis !!
Remercie ta femme des bonnes salades [fenouilles?] & saucisses
qu'elle m'a envoyée, j'ai bien peur de ne les
manger que jaunes car sera facheux [pendant que?]
si ton oncle Medecin Permet faire gras, on m'a deffendu
manger des saucisses que les medecins ne
conseillent jamais aux malades. si tu pouvais
me procurer une consultation qui ordonne [la permission?]
de manger des p'tites saucisses tu me ferais

I return to you, dear brother, a letter from your son; in the other that he tells you of an account of 55 francs 15 centimes, you will do me the pleasure of telling him that I give them to him & that I will write to him one of these first days, give me his address again I beg you.
My little Lise, your sister has been quite exhausted; her milk supply was seriously affected by it, this poor child had yesterday her buttocks red as blood from the effort of crying. Her mother tormented herself over it with an [affection?] on her milk because she has too much. Finally thank God yesterday it seems they are doing much better since yesterday they slept well, God willing that continues. What worries children give!!
Thank your wife for the good [fennel?] salads & sausages that she sent me, I am very afraid of only eating them yellow because it will be annoying [while?] if your doctor uncle permits eating meat, I was forbidden to eat sausages which doctors never recommend to patients. If you could get me a consultation that orders [the permission?] to eat little sausages you would give me pleasure.
Farewell dear brother I see arriving with pleasure the middle of Lent which will get me the pleasure of embracing you I fear that Laure & your wife will not go to [St ... de puy?] until after Easter come back as soon as possible.
