agréable a lui dire nous lui avons annoncé que
nous aurons bientot le plaisir de recevoir votre
visite, Je tiens d'autant plus à ce que vous
hattiez votre arrivée que J'ai toujours peur que
quelque marché a Jeansau, quelque Haie de pré
a faire ou des répanchons a cueillir ne vous arretent
et ne vous fassent faire Banqueroute a votre promesse
Je dis banqueroute parceque s'en est une pour
moi toutes les fois que je me berce du plaisir de
t'embrasser et que tu ne me laisses que mon pouce
a mordre, arrivez donc arrivez vite et n'attendez
pas que les uns ou les autres nous soyons forcés
de nous absenter
Dis moi si tu veux que je vous adresse une
voiture a annonay ou simplement a
Marsilloles afin que v/ puissiez arriver dans
un jour. Dans ce d[erni]er cas j'enverrai la veille la
voiture a Marsilloles, elle seroit toute prete a
votre arrivée et vous ne vous y arreteriez que

My dear friend,

Alphonse arrived this morning; having nothing more pleasant to tell him, we announced to him that we will soon have the pleasure of receiving your visit. I am all the more anxious for you to hasten your arrival as I am always afraid that some deal in Jeansau, some meadow hedge to make, or some shoots to pick will stop you and make you default on your promise. I say default because it is one for me every time I lull myself with the pleasure of embracing you and you leave me only with my thumb to bite; arrive then, arrive quickly and do not wait until one or another of us is forced to be absent.
Tell me if you want me to send a carriage for you to Annonay or simply to Marsilloles so that you can arrive in one day. In the latter case I will send the carriage the day before to Marsilloles, it would be quite ready upon your arrival and you would only stop there to drink a glass. You would eat in the carriage what you would have brought and we would wait for you for dinner at 5 or 6 o'clock at the latest.
Answer me I beg you and set me straight on the day of your arrival.
