n'attribue qu'a mes occupations, mon cher jean marie,
le retard que j'ai mis a repondre a ta lettre du 18, tu auras
eu de nos nouvelles par le pere cousinet amet, qui nous
en a donne de bonnes de toute la famille; j'ai eu
aussi le plaisir d'en recevoir de ton fils françois, qui
paroit content et bien occuppé, celles que tu me donnes
de vincent m'ont également fait bien plaisir, fais
leur a tous deux nos amités, quant tu leur ecrira
et rappelle moi au souvenir du bon Mr. Perret.

j'ai remis ta lettre a Eugene, nous le voyons
quelque fois avec son ami, tous deux dinerent
avec nous jeudi der ce jeune homme est fraigat[?]
charmant, je suis charmante que notre neveu aie
fait une aussi bonne connoissance, Eugene ne
peut que gagner Beaucoup avec lui.

je ne sais si je t'ai dit que j'avois remis
le 31. 8bre d. 30 franc a Eugene, depuis, j'ai
payé a l'Econome 20.40. pour le 1r trim: de
la retrub: universitaire et 80 franc que j'ai
remis à Eugene le 29. 9bre

tu voudras bien en prendre note pour
m'en auditer au cte d'Eugene

je te quitte pour aller voir mon fils qui
arrive de serrieres, ou il etoit allé avant hier

attribute only to my occupations, my dear jean marie,
the delay I have taken in replying to your letter of the 18th, you will have
had news of us through father cousinet amet, who gave us
good news of the whole family; I also had
the pleasure of receiving some from your son françois, who
seems content and well occupied, those that you give me
of vincent also gave me great pleasure, give
them both our regards, when you write to them
and recall me to the memory of the good Mr. Perret.

I have handed your letter to Eugene, we see him
sometimes with his friend, both of them dined
with us last Thursday this young man is fresh[?]
charming, I am delighted that our nephew has
made such a good acquaintance, Eugene can
only gain a lot with him.

I don't know if I told you that I had remitted
the 31st October last 30 francs to Eugene, since, I have
paid to the Bursar 20.40. for the 1st quarter of
the university fee and 80 francs that I
remitted to Eugene on the 29th November

you will please take note of it to
credit me on Eugene's account

I leave you to go see my son who
arrives from serrieres, where he went the day before yesterday
