Je m'empresse ma chère mère de vous faire parvenir la lettre de
Vincent, j'ai reçu la tienne ce matin j'y vois avec peine que francois souffre
de son oreille je pense que ce mal se sera calmé petit à petit et qu'il
n'aura plus de suite je ferai tes deux commissions que je vous enverrai
par la première occasion ne sachant pas du tout quand je pourrai
vous les porter moi-même. remercie le père de son attention je
n'ai pas besoin d'argent en tous cas ce ne sera que pendant le mois de
novembre. adieu je vous embrasse tous de tout coeur

I hasten, my dear mother, to send you the letter from Vincent, I received yours this morning. I see with sorrow that Francois is suffering from his ear. I think that this pain will have calmed down little by little and that it will have no further consequences. I will do your two errands which I will send to you by the first opportunity, not knowing at all when I will be able to bring them to you myself. Thank father for his attention. I do not need money; in any case, it will only be during the month of November. Farewell, I embrace you all with all my heart.
