Mon cher ami

je suis au moment de realiser mon projet de vous aller
faire une visite accompagné de mon petit fils (fargeon)
nos places sont arretées a la diligence nous partons demain
a dix heure du soir . nous serons a tournon mercredy a
huit heure de l'apres midi et a senovert le jeudy
de bien bonne heure. je me plait a te
l'annoncer. notre itineraire est arreté nous
devons etre de retour a nismes pour le 10 ou le
12 8bre . en passant par annonai, andance et
voirons. tu pense bien qu'a annonai ce sera chez
toi que nous irons descendre. j'y met cependant
ma condition c'est que nous ne te derangerons pas
que si tu est au pre tu y restera, que c'est la ou
nous te verrons dans la journée et que nous viendrons
coucher a annonai. chez nos bons amis charles
et Thomas . nous ne voulons pas te deplacer. d'autant
que nous ne pourrons faire que peu de sejour dans
les lieux ou nous devrons nous arreter .

Nîmes, this 17th of September 1838

My dear friend

I am about to realize my project of going to
visit you accompanied by my grandson (Fargeon).
Our places are booked on the diligence, we leave tomorrow
at ten o'clock in the evening. We will be in Tournon Wednesday at
eight o'clock in the evening and in Senovert Thursday
very early in the morning. I am pleased to
announce it to you. Our itinerary is set, we
must be back in Nîmes by the 10th or the
12th of October. Passing through Annonay, Andance and
Voiron. You can imagine that in Annonay it will be at
your place that we will stay. However, I put
my condition on it: that we will not disturb you,
that if you are in the meadow you will stay there, that it is there where
we will see you during the day and that we will come
to sleep in Annonay at our good friends Charles
and Thomas. We do not want to put you out. Especially
since we will only be able to make a short stay in
the places where we will have to stop.
