Voilà donc ton fils parti de paris, je vous en
félicite, il se remettra bien vîte Entièrement
auprès de vous, et quand il y aura passé
quelques jours, j'espère bien qu'il viendra
nous voir.
La conduite d'Eugène afflige toute sa famille.
Elle est la suite du désoeuvrement et de mauvaises
connoissances. l'isolement où il se tenoit de
nous, me faisoit prévoir quelques folies, mais
je n'aurois jamais cru qu'il s'oubliât au point
de manquer de sentimens, envers des parens
qui l'affectionnoient. il est cruel de se voir
obligé de solliciter contre lui, des mesures
rigoureuses, indiquées par la loi, pour le tirer
de la posîtion où il s'est placé et prévenir
sa ruine complète. j'ai écrit hier à notre
neveu Etienne, (pour lui faire connoître
l'opinion du président de notre trib.al, je pense
qu'on la suivra, et que déja on s'est addressé
au tribunal de grenoble, pour obtenir l'ordre
qui donne à Eugène un Conseil judiciaire).
comme à toi vincent me fait connoître
l'itinéraire des fugitifs jusqu'à Lyon; depuis
je n'en ai pas eu d'autre nouvelle; on ne peut
tarder de les arrêter, et de les ramener à Grenoble
puisse la honte d'y reparaître ainsi, être une
bonne leçon pour lui, dont il devra être
d'autant plus mortifié, que cette affaire

So your son has left Paris, I congratulate you on it, he will very quickly recover entirely with you, and when he has spent a few days there, I very much hope he will come see us.
Eugène's conduct afflicts his whole family. It is the result of idleness and bad acquaintances. The isolation in which he kept himself from us made me foresee some follies, but I would never have believed that he would forget himself to the point of lacking feelings towards the relatives who loved him. It is cruel to see oneself obliged to solicit against him strict measures provided for by law, to extricate him from the position in which he has placed himself and to prevent his complete ruin. I wrote yesterday to our nephew Etienne, (to make him know the opinion of the president of our tribunal, I think it will be followed, and that already they have addressed the tribunal of Grenoble, to obtain the order which gives Eugène a judicial counsel).
Just like to you, Vincent makes known to me the itinerary of the fugitives as far as Lyon; since then I have had no other news of them; they cannot delay in arresting them, and bringing them back to Grenoble. May the shame of reappearing there like this be a good lesson for him, of which he will have to be all the more mortified, as this affair...

je suis revenu samedi de Senovert.
il a pleut toute la nuit et le landemain

on voyait les plantes croitre a vuë d'œil
les deux jours les froments on grandi

Our silkworms went to sleep for the 4th time; those at Olivet are doing well so far; it is said that they will mount on Sunday.
None of my tenant farmers was able to go last week to get the beer that you requested for me from M. Desgaches. I recommended to them not to fail...
