je Reçois ta lettre d'hier qui m'annonce que tu es moins
souffrant; M. Blanc que j'ai vu avant hier me l'avoit
dit, et appris que tu avois vendu ta belle Récolte de Cocons
à M. Chabaud au prix de 8 fr. le Kil.
nous avons eu 323 liv. cocons à olivet, dont 36 [liv.] tous de
dragée, que nous faisons filer.
mon fils est Revenu hier de Senovert, nos vers étoient
tous encabannés, et avoient une Belle montée, on a
l'Espérance qu'ils feront bien, nous avons pu nous
pourvoir de la graine, au de la de nos Besoins,
Ensorte qu'il faut vendre celle qui est de trop, et
qui Revenoit à 6. fr. petit poid.
guiraud m'avoit annoncé son depart pour Rive de Gier
et son Retour à vosges pour Demain
j'irai à Senovert avec ma femme vers le milieu de la
semaine pour faire decoconner.
la Rentree du gille de charles, & Thomas pour Toute la
semaine est une preuve qu'ils vont tous bien, fait
leur mes amitiés.
je Vous embrasse Bien Tendrement et de la
part de tous les miens

Tournon June 21, 1840

I receive your letter of yesterday which announces to me that you are less
suffering; Mr. Blanc whom I saw the day before yesterday had told me so,
and learned that you had sold your fine crop of cocoons
to Mr. Chabaud at the price of 8 fr. the kilo.
we have had 323 pounds of cocoons at olivet, of which 36 [pounds] all from
dragée, which we are having spun.
my son Returned yesterday from Senovert, our silkworms were
all encabannés [spinning their cocoons], and had a Beautiful climb, we have
the Hope that they will do well, we have been able to
provide ourselves with seed, beyond our Needs,
So that we must sell that which is in excess, and
which Amounted to 6. fr. small weight.
guiraud had announced to me his departure for Rive de Gier
and his Return to vosges for Tomorrow
I will go to Senovert with my wife towards the middle of the
week to decocoon.
the Return of the gille of charles, & Thomas for All the
week is a proof that they are all doing well, give
them my regards.
