Depuis qque temps il reste en Magasin une [c/ ?] de 50 blles
absinthe N° 21681. Si vous le trouvez convenable elle pourrait
s'appliquer à la demande de Sommer que vous me signalez par
votre lettre reçue ce matin; au cas contraire vous pouvez destiner
le N° 23609 [c/ ?] ou nous emballerons 50 blles abs: après confirmation.

Nous nous occupons à préparer les blles vides que vous destinez
pour Couvet, Mr Lambelet pourra donc les faire charger dès demain
j'indiquerai au voiturier le nombre.

Ainsi que vous me le prescrivez, j'ai voulu remettre à l[lacune : papier manquant]
l'onguent pour Madame Pernod; mais il a été refusé; je l'enverrai
donc ce soir à la diligence pour vous être rendu demain.

Agréez je vous prie les salutations de votre dévoué Serviteur.

Mr Pernod fils in Couvet

Sir,

For some time a [case?] of 50 bottles of absinthe, No. 21681, has remained in the warehouse. If you consider it suitable, it could meet Sommer's request, which you brought to my attention in your letter received this morning; otherwise you can designate No. 23609, a [case?] in which we shall pack 50 bottles of absinthe after confirmation.

We are preparing the empty bottles that you intend for Couvet. Mr Lambelet will therefore be able to have them loaded as early as tomorrow; I shall tell the carrier the number.

As you instructed me, I wanted to hand over to [text lost: paper missing] the ointment for Madame Pernod; but it was refused. I shall therefore send it this evening by stagecoach, to be delivered to you tomorrow.

Please accept the greetings of your devoted servant.
