Ill.mo Rev.mo Monsignor Vescovo!

Perchè in tutto quanto il suo cuore è eminente-
mente religioso, senza preamboli vengo a chiamarla a parte d'un sacri-
ficio voluto da noi, dai doveri più stretti della nostra Santa Regola.
Non solo, come al solito, Ella vi deve contribuire con una paterna amo-
rosa compiacenza, ma ben anco con un atto di adesione di quella sua
volontà tanto santamente conformata alla volontà di Dio ed a quella
dei Santi miei Fondatori.
Essendo noi in dovere, dopo avere conosciuto espresso il Divino Vole-
re cedere temporaneamente due delle mie Sorelle, in ajuto al ns. Car-
melo di Pisa nella Toscana, per scegliere dei soggetti da comprometterci senz'
imprudenza alle mie viste, e capaci di tale missione, abbiamo proposto a
Monsignor mio Vescovo, le mie Sorelle M.a Agostina Storti, e la sua Ni-
pote M.a Teresa Giuseppa, il quale ha approvato l'elezione. Entro il Mag-
gio conviene che si rechino alla loro destinazione, ed all'uopo abbiamo
domandati i Passaporti: appena mi saranno giunti mi farò un dovere di
comunicarglielo, dipendendo dal loro arrivo la scelta del giorno della par-
tenza. Per ora la Comunità ignora tale determinazione, il che giova
a quel raccoglimento, che è la vita della suora, cosicchè io intendo di comu-
nicarla a Lei con confidenza.
Riservandomi di scriverle presto con maggior chiarezza, mi limito nel confermarmi

Most Illustrious and Most Reverend Monsignor Bishop!

Because in everything your heart is eminently religious, without preambles I come to call upon you to take part in a sacrifice desired by us, by the strictest duties of our Holy Rule. Not only, as usual, must you contribute to it with paternal and loving goodwill, but also with an act of adherence by that will of yours which is so holily conformed to the will of God and to that of my Holy Founders.

Since we are obliged, after having recognized the expressed Divine Will, to lend temporarily two of my Sisters to assist our Carmel in Pisa, Tuscany, in order to choose persons without imprudently committing ourselves to my plans, and capable of such a mission, we proposed to Monsignor, my Bishop, my Sisters Maria Agostina Storti and her niece Maria Teresa Giuseppa; he approved the selection. They must reach their destination within May, and for this purpose we have requested the passports. As soon as they reach me, I shall make it my duty to inform you, since the choice of the day of departure depends on their arrival. For now the Community does not know of this decision, which benefits that recollection which is the life of a sister, so I intend to communicate it to You in confidence.

Intending to write to you soon with greater clarity, I confine myself to reaffirming, with profound respect and veneration in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, that I am Your Most Humble, Most Obliged Daughter and Servant,
