Due Linee apena p[er] ringraziarla della bella, e tanto
gradita visita che m'ha procurato nella persona
di Gaetano e Regina sua Moglie in questi tre gior=
=ni di loro permanenza qui a Soresina; ci hanno
fatto una buonissima compagnia; segnatamente
con La buona Cognata nella quale ho scorto
delle ottime qualità di sodo giudizio ed altre,
proprie a far felice Gaetano, e una famiglia;
p[er] cui, car.mo Papà, abbiamo tutti i motivi di
ringraziarne ben di cuore il Signore; p[er] ora
da Essa non sarà d'esigere tanto in Negozio
non essendo ancora pratica, e poi non ancora
sistemata nelle sue cose; ma poi io sono persua=
=sa, che p[er] Essa ancora sarà un buono Sogetto.
Domenica prossima ho sentito che si troveranno
in compagnia dei Parenti; sopra della quale
io Le andrò implorare da Dio mille benedizioni
Spirituali e temporali; ma segnatamente sopra
al mio, caro Papà degno Loro Capo, affinchè Gli

My dearest Papa,
Just two lines to thank you for the lovely and most welcome visit you arranged for me in the person of Gaetano and Regina, his wife, during these three days of their stay here in Soresina. They kept us excellent company, especially my good sister-in-law, in whom I have perceived excellent qualities of sound judgement and others suited to making Gaetano and a family happy. For this, dearest Papa, we have every reason to thank the Lord from the heart. For now, one should not expect too much from her in the business, since she is not yet experienced and her affairs are not yet settled; but later I am convinced that she, too, will be a valuable person. I heard that next Sunday they will be in the company of the relatives. Upon that gathering I shall implore from God a thousand spiritual and temporal blessings, but especially upon my dear Papa, their worthy head, that He may be pleased to crown him with another thousand years of life
