Suor M. Enrichetta da Milano per Dumenza ed alle
7 pomeridiane del giorno 4 furono a Bedero, per ri=
=tornare subito a Dumenza lo stesso giorno e quindi si
fermarono costà 9 ore e da Dumenza partirono il
giorno dopo con S. M. Benedetta la quale per l'estre=
=mo di sua salute che quasi temettero che fosse impossibi=
=le a fare il viaggio da Dumenza a Milano ecco
tutto il cambiamento che c'è stato, per cui a Bedero
le cose sono tutte nello statu quo. Desidererei che
mi mandasti le L. 4. [20?] che nel mio borsellino disposi in
opere di Carità, e poi coi medesimi cioè col borsellino com=
=perarmi N.o 2 Dozzine di Dottrinette simile al Campione

qui unito indi N.o 2 Dozzine d'abachi d'un soldo ciascuno
per le mie povere figlie della scuola Comunale che non
avendo con che vestirsi meno poi con che comperarsi [cropped]

Dearest Sister
Bedero, 7 November 1859

On the 3rd the Most Reverend Mother Mistress and
Sister M. Enrichetta left Milan for Dumenza, and at
seven in the evening on the 4th they arrived in Bedero, only to
return immediately to Dumenza that same day. Thus they
stayed here for nine hours, and the next day they left Dumenza
with Sister M. Benedetta. Because of the extremity of her health,
they had almost feared that she would be unable
to make the journey from Dumenza to Milan. This is
the whole change that has taken place; therefore in Bedero
everything remains in the status quo. I should like you
to send me the 4 lire [and 20?] that I set aside in my purse for
works of Charity, and then with that money, that is, from the purse, to buy
me No. 2 dozen little catechisms like the Sample
^at 10 centesimi each^
enclosed here, then No. 2 dozen abacuses at one soldo each
for my poor girls at the Municipal school, who have
nothing to wear, still less the means to buy [cropped]
books for study and writing. Furthermore, I should like to know
whether any of the [word obscured by seal] set aside under our agreement
remain; and if you have any, I should like you to use them to buy
some strong cotton cloth, but at very little expense, so as to give
some help to those poor girls. How is the whole
