Quantunque la ritenga al presente abbastanza
informata dello stato di salute della degnissi=
ma sua sorella, pure non voglio defraudare la
di lei speranza di ricevere ulteriori notizie, le qua=
li con piacere posso confermargliele buone. È vero
è tuttora a letto incomodata da tempo in tempo
da qualche febbriciattola che fa dubitare esservi
ancora qualche avanzo d'infiammazione, ma sa
poi così ben governarsi che spero diminuirà fra
breve anche questo incomodo. Con tutto ciò dubi=
to assai che per tutta l'invernale stagione a=
vrà bisogno di somma cura e precauzione onde non
ricadere. A tale scopo ho già divisato che anche
alzandosi debba essere esonerata da ogni occupa=
zione, e perciò mi sono presa io la sua scuola ed
il suo oratorio. Stia dunque di buon animo, cara
Sig.ra Linda, che del resto posso assicurarla che
S.r M.a Fedele è molto tranquilla di spirito e

Dearest Lady!
Although I consider you at present sufficiently informed of the state of health of your most worthy sister, nevertheless I do not want to deprive you of your hope of receiving further news, which I can gladly confirm to be good. It is true that she is still in bed, troubled from time to time by a slight fever that gives reason to suspect some remnant of inflammation, but she knows so well how to take care of herself that I hope this ailment too will soon diminish. Even so, I strongly suspect that throughout the winter season she will need the greatest care and precaution so as not to relapse. To this end I have already decided that, even when she gets up, she must be relieved of every occupation, and therefore I have taken upon myself her school and her oratory. Be of good cheer then, dear Mrs. Linda, for otherwise I can assure you that Sister M. Fedele is very tranquil in spirit and at times even cheerful. She herself read your latest writing and told me to give you a thousand thanks for your most cordial concern for her

pure che aggradì moltissimo le spugne giac=
chè ne fa un continuo uso trovandole molto
giovevoli alla sua salute. In riguardo alle
graziose sue esibizioni la già ripetuta Suor
M. Fedele mi lasciò di dirle che desidere=
rebbe uno sciallo nero molto grande e molto
pesante, che questo però non sia di valore
non importando sia di scarto giacchè è per
uso di letto. La mia cara Sig.ra Linda nel=
la mia pochezza non mancherò di averla
presente nelle mie orazioni. Ma Deh! Ella
pure preghi per me, i miei bisogni sono
veramente molti e molti, quindi ho biso=
