Ho ricevuto l'ultima tua del 3 corrente nella quale
mi dicesti d'aver ricevuto una mia in data del 7 Luglio,
la quale doveva essere abbrucciata, per essermi arri=
vato in tempo con che suplire a tali mie commissioni colle
£ 40 che mi donò il Papà; ma la M. M. S.ra
vedendo una lettera dimenticata di mandarla la spedì to=
stamente senza pensare all' antecede[nte]. Il tutto però
l'ho ricevuto che mi significasti e basta. Di tutto solo de=
sidererei sapere l' importo totale della
mia spesa. Avrai avuto abbastanza da soddisfare
alla spesa senza taccare il capitale? Io non [lo?]
voglio che nessuno sia intaccato se non il mio bor=

Blessed be God

Dearest Sister

I received your latest of the 3rd of the current month in which
you told me of having received one of mine dated July 7th,
which was supposed to be burned, since I had arrived
in time to substitute those commissions of mine with the
40 lire that Papa gave me; but the M. M. Sr.,
seeing a letter that had been forgotten to be sent, promptly sent it
without thinking about the previous one. However, I received
everything that you indicated to me, and that's enough. Of everything I would only
like to know the total amount of
my expense. Did you have enough to meet
the expense without touching the capital? I do not [want that?];
I want no one's funds to be touched except my
purse. If we do not give you any more commissions do not take
it badly, it is due to an order from the Mother Superior to give
no tasks to anyone but Her... therefore... I
am well, as I hope you and the whole family are too,
to whom I beg you my greetings, specifically
to Papa. Finally the longed-for
rain has come. In the Most Holy Hearts of J. and M. I call myself your
