J'ai l'honneur de vous adresser un mandat de 1050 francs sur
Mr Vellay ainé Negociant à grenoble payable au 31 courant,
il m'a été impossible de l'avoir pour terme plus court quoiqu'
dans le principe Monsieur me l'eut promis pour le 20.

Mon allentour assez bien; mon fils a été bien malade pendant
les chaleurs; mais il va mieux maintenant.
toute ma famille vous dit mille choses empressées et je vous
prie d'agréer l'assurance de mon respectueux attachement

Serrières, 16 July 1826.

Madame Chappuis,

I have the honour of sending you a money order for 1,050 francs, drawn on Mr Vellay senior, merchant in Grenoble, and payable on the 31st of this month. It was impossible for me to obtain a shorter term, although at first he had promised me the 20th.

Everyone around me is well. My son was very ill during the hot weather, but he is better now.

My whole family sends you a thousand warm regards, and I ask you to accept the assurance of my respectful attachment.
