A g. v. L. C.le Non occorre replicare
sull'accordo. Se fin qui foste privo
de' montoni unti[?] fu per errore, e sono
giunti i Vs reclami. Ho ordinato tosto
che li Spedi[...]ero e quanto prima li
riceverete. Ho delle bellissime capre e
capretti. Nulla più. Da Roma circa
[perdita della carta] novità[?] stante[?] In fretta vi riverisco
p[er] la Ditta [G.?] Vignoli
[P.?] Vignoli

Notes

The opening A g. v. L. C.le is contracted; its full expansion is not supplied. The forwarding verb visibly begins Spedi and ends ero; its intervening letters remain uncertain, with sent[?] giving the supported dispatch sense. The trade terms montoni, capre and capretti are retained literally in Italian and rendered as skins in their commercial context. Unti[?] remains localized. The final Rome fragment preserves paper loss separately from unclear visible ink; stante[?] is retained in Italian but is not assigned a definite connection to the missing words. In fretta is readable. Firm and signer initials remain unresolved; no given name is expanded. Address abbreviations S./Sam., B.to and D. are left unexpanded.

[unread] There is no need to reply about the agreement. If you have so far been without the greasy[?] sheepskins, it was because of an error, and your complaints have reached us. I immediately ordered them to be sent[?], and you will receive them as soon as possible. I have some very fine goat and kid skins. Nothing more. From Rome, about [paper loss] news[?] [unread]. In haste, I respectfully salute you.
For the firm [G.?] Vignoli
