In accordance with your kind letter of 28 November, I have met your bill for £14.84 (A Eff) at maturity and entered it to your debit in settlement of the goods sent to me on 31 July. I shall be glad to hear whether you have anything to tell me about our petition to Rome and the change of the Minister of Finance, which I hope will favour the successful outcome of the planned undertaking. I am still awaiting the [cancelled: illegible] greased sheepskins. I shall also be glad to hear from you about the white sole leather and the price you ask for it.
