Notes
The Italian source spells the large-hide term Bovone. It is rendered as large ox hides without identifying a particular leather trade grade. The source a % price notation is rendered per 100 by Bologna weight, preserving the historical quotation without a metric conversion. £ is the manuscript currency glyph and does not identify pounds sterling or a modern denomination. The commercial closing attesa di vostri comodi is rendered idiomatically as awaiting a reply at the recipient’s convenience. No deadline is supplied.

Bologna, 2 April 1859
I regret to learn from your last letter, of the 31st of last month, that the natural and yellow sheepskins are not to your liking, since I can assure you that they are among the best bargains. I promised to tell you at once the weight and price of the large ox hides: about 120 pounds per bale of ten pieces. The lowest price is £31 per 100, by Bologna weight; the quality is first-grade leather from the factory called Grada.
That is what I had to tell you. I await your reply at your convenience and send you my respectful greetings.
Cesare Monari

che sia più delli indicatomi Pelli N.o100; Ritirando De Collorati da
[Lombaresi?] me ne renderete inteso; come pure le Verniciate
Notes
The five-line recipient draft is preserved once below the address. It cites the incoming letter of the 2nd and supplies no independent reply date. The draft's first verb intesi is read as I have noted; the abbreviated comparison wording and carrier designation remain locally uncertain. V. is not identified as a boat or a named service. The draft gives 100 skins, while the incoming letter gives ten pieces per bale. Both source numbers are retained without reconciling the difference. Renderete inteso means let me know; the draft does not order the return of the coloured or varnished skins. Collorati retains the source spelling; [Lombaresi?] is not assigned a personal or geographical identity. The right-edge tear removes part of the filing date and abbreviation. The surviving 4 is retained without supplying a full received date.

English translation
In reply to your letter of the 2nd of this month, I have noted your asking price of £31 for ox-hide leather from the Grada factory. Believing that this price matches that of the other well-known [...], send me one bale by [V. Sarco?]. [...], I would like it to contain more than the 100 skins you indicated. When you obtain coloured hides from [Lombaresi?], let me know, and likewise about the varnished ones.
