Notes
The separate numeral stands at the upper right, apart from the incoming letter. The lower half contains the complete expense account; its figures are transcribed as written, without a currency or weight conversion. R.do P. and the carrier surname remain tentative. Gio Batta is readable, but the following surname is uncertain, with DallaNuce and DallaLuce as possible readings. These names and Granti are documentary forms without identification. Tosche appears after Vachetta in both the letter and account and is rendered as Tuscan. The account retains uncertain Fab.ri, Mesaro and Digià locally, without assigning unproved occupations or identities. £ preserves the manuscript currency glyph without identifying pounds sterling or a modern denomination.
