Your letter of the 19th of this month crossed mine of the 18th. Nevertheless, at this very moment I am delivering to the carrier [Grannellini?] another 20 very fine white [Calutte?]. They are a fine selection I have made, so that you will find nothing to object to [deleted: you will find]. I have carried out your order for ten donkey hides, much more thoroughly tanned. You will observe the continuing increase in the price of hides generally. Please therefore credit me with [currency mark] 49.11. For this and the other shipments, totalling [currency mark] 110.92, please send me your bill payable in Bologna at the end of this month, in good time. I remain at your service and offer my respects.

Notes
The source explicitly reads dieci pelli d’Asini molto più Conci. Osserverete is readable. The crossed-out troverete is retained as a cancellation, while the unfinished surrounding clause is rendered as the assurance about the selection. Calutte is retained as the uncertain repeated leather designation, without normalizing it to Calcutta or identifying an animal from that word. The separate d’Asini clause identifies donkey hides. The carrier surname is tentative. The separate lower note begins Trovate. Its manuscript currency glyph £ and terminal abbreviation are retained without identifying a denomination; no collected-payment state is inferred. The later note below the account remains partly illegible. Its readable statement that all shipments have been objected to is preserved; the other uncertain wording is not expanded. Currency and weight marks, account figures and the separate multiplication are preserved in source notation. No rate denominator or denomination is inferred from arithmetic.
