Pasquale Minardi

Although I had no notice from you, the carrier Tura delivered eleven cloth sacks belonging to you, with an urgent request to fill them with the agreed bark. I have done everything to oblige you and today handed them back to him in good condition. He will soon bring them to you, so that you may credit me with their value of 19.72 [currency]. The waters of our Reno are so scarce that, with priority given to milling flour, the other works remain almost dry. It costs me no small sacrifice to forgo the water myself. I tell you[?] this for your guidance. Awaiting your kind action, I offer my respects.

Notes

The native water clause supports preferito and sacrifizio; Dicendovi[?] remains a tentative short reading. The account weight mark, rate abbreviation beside 7, and currency are retained without a modern conversion. The credit abbreviation met.o is not expanded into a certain payment requirement.
