Brescia, 9 March 1861.
I owe my acquaintance with your respected firm to our friend Giuseppe Ag-[Mieri?], who was with you a few days ago. Today he tells me that you have already favoured me with an order, asking me, following your instructions, to send you 12 black calfskins with a [“pattina”] finish at 9.70 francs per kilogram. I would willingly send them to you, but he did not tell me what weight you want. I therefore thought it best to write and ask you what total weight you wish to have. Once you have informed me, it will be my pleasure to serve you. I also assure you that I have fine and well-worked calfskins.
Awaiting your reply, I send you heartfelt greetings and remain your humble servant,
Pesci Pietro.
