Bologna, 2 February 1855
In prompt reply to your esteemed letter of the 20th of last month.
Having had [18?] [uncertain abbreviations] sent to you, against
a remittance to me two months from the date of the
invoice, good; otherwise I ask you to return the empty sack to me by means of
the said carrier.
This was what I had to tell you, and with my usual esteem
I pay you my respects.
