I reply to your letter of the 11th of this month concerning the articles you ask me for, with your [uncertain abbreviation]. I would advise you to turn to Messrs Michele and Achille, the Chiarini brothers here, who work excellently in coloured skins. I am entirely out of them and for some years have concerned myself little with coloured leathers, but rather with sole leather. Always ready to serve you, I sign myself [abbreviation].

Faenza. Messrs Michele and Achille, the Chiarini brothers
17 June
[Deleted: Being] Having been informed that in [your?] factory you work extensively in coloured skins, I should like to know the price you ask both for yellow sheepskins and for baffe [term retained]. At the same time I should like to know your asking price for leather weighing about 16 pounds, as also for [Corali?: term uncertain] a Corame [wording retained], indicating the lightest weight you could allow me. I hope your terms may suit me so that I can place an order with you; awaiting this, etc.
