Forlì, 29 April 1857.
In reply to yours of the 26th of this month, the very lowest price I now charge for goatskins to all my customers in Bologna and Ferrara is £42 per [100 pounds?] of heavy leather. I can supply you at this limit; otherwise, to my regret, I shall have to refrain from sending any to you. I have varnished calfskins which I can let you have at 1.50 per skin [of very large size?]. I should also like to receive your orders for kidskins. I offer my respects.
