Loan of 120 million
My letter of 28 April gave you the statement of the payments relating to the Loan, and you will have made the corresponding entries.
There remained to me personally:
20,000 francs in Loan obligations, representing capital of 336,000 francs.
Out of this I received:
5,000 in actual annuities, for (subject to the calculation of the instalment of 10 May) [crossed-out group]: 84,000.
Remainder: 15,000, representing 252,000.
The first tenth paid is 25,200, which, with the 42,840 contributing to the [instalments falling due?], makes a total of 68,040.
I had to enter to your account the 5,000 francs of annuities above: 84,000.
Together: 152,040.
By the letter from the [Syndic?] of [blank] April I had debited myself with 76,440.
I should owe on account: 75,600.
By a letter [enclosed herewith?] I was debited, value date 22 April, through the credit of Mr de St. Albin, for 70,560.
I was further debited through the credit of Mr de [Foulty?] and Company, for 5,040, value date 22 April.
A thousand kind regards.
[Henry?]

Notes
Documentary annotation: 2. [at the upper left] The figures retain the manuscript’s order and grouping. The left remainder is15,000, not25,000. A short accounting label, the referenced Syndic letter, an enclosure reference and the last account name remain locally uncertain. The date field before April in the Syndic reference is unfilled. The lower-left addition is included once.
