Paris, 5 May 1831.
I have received your letter of the 4th.
I see that the journey [of Mr?] Stabler has been decided upon; I shall let you know a few days in advance.
The due dates of the payments for [Andrieux?] are indeed those you had indicated to me.
But you have an account for supplies which he had furnished to me, and the amount of which I must enter to his credit [with a common value date?] on 1 June.
I see your remittance of 1,000 francs.
Here is the letter from the colleague at [Chartres?], on the basis of which you can repay the payment order drawn on [Lebœuf?], when it is presented to you.
Yours entirely, [Després?]
Notes
Documentary annotation: [small undeciphered mark or paraph at upper left] Stabler is a personal name in the journey clause, not the verb installer. The preceding short abbreviation/preposition, several proper names and the common-value-date expression remain qualified. No corresponding enclosure is assigned merely from the mention of a colleague’s letter.
