Letter and financial instructions - Paris, 21 April 1831

English translation

Paris, 21 April 1831.

I enclose a receipt for the 12,000 francs, for which I made over a transfer in part to [Mr?] O. Fontaine. He nevertheless handed me 59.70, which you are to debit to petty cash for the ten days on 43,000 francs.
— I have received your letter of yesterday with the [Beurnonville?] and [deleted: letter?] Moulainy papers. I shall examine them all. I cannot do so at the moment.
— I return the [cashier’s?] letter concerning the [Jacquin?] voucher.
— The Syndicate credits me with 29,480 francs in saltworks dividends at 268 francs a share. Allocate that sum in this proportion: 88 shares for me, 12 on deposit and 10 for [Beurnonville?].
See the circular of 2 April.
Entirely yours, [initials].

Notes

Documentary annotation: [small underlined mark at upper left]
The name attached to the voucher is heavily written over. The cashier’s abbreviation and the name Beurnonville are tentative.
