English translation
Paris, 18 April 1831.
I have written to you separately about the [Dreuque?] affair.
Only this morning did I receive your letter of the 16th, brought to me by someone who arrived by stagecoach. I cannot explain this delay.
I see the Girard bill, due on 30 April, in the cash office.
— for notice of the [Savary?] transfer, and the payment order for 1,000 francs issued to Stabler.
I now receive your letter of the 17th; we shall be a little [late?] in receiving the bill for 12,000 francs drawn on [Dardouque?].
I am sending the enclosure to Mr Gibert.
Tomorrow I shall return to you the letter concerning the movement of funds.
I see Dispatches Nos. 48 and 49.
Please send a calling card of Mr and Mrs Reiset, and one of Mr [Rieux?], to Mr Gobert, Councillor.
Here is a letter from Mr Perrin. Ask Laroche to verify whether the space to let is indeed reduced to [218?] feet; he will propose to Mr Perrin that the portion removed be settled at the agreed price.
I have signed the enclosed receipt, to be returned to Mr [Regnier?].
Please forward the enclosed letter immediately to Mr Gobert.
I shall answer Moulainy tomorrow.
A thousand kind regards.
[paraph]
