lettre, M. [Moulainy?] prendra quelques Notes.

Letter with financial instructions - Paris, 16 April 1831

English translation

Paris, 16 April 1831.

I have already asked you to inquire of Mr [Ferrer?] whether the discount office has obtained satisfaction from the Receiver General of the Dordogne. It matters to me to know this.
[Vannoir?] has acknowledged his error of 6.85; it must therefore be settled. But he could not give information about the 5.50 which I see under discount on the transfer account. If you have not traced the complete item, post it to profit and loss.
I have received your letter of yesterday.
I shall pass your letter to Chaulet. Mr [Dejean?] will all the better appreciate the need always to write the names in his requests in large, clearly legible characters.
I see that you are again announcing Dispatches Nos. 48 and 49 for Monday. Is the stagecoach not then loaded on Friday evening?
On the other hand, are there no longer any papers that can be taken safely?
I see [Dollfus’s?] subscription. I think that, unless this has already been done, notice of it should immediately be given to the two Rouen newspapers so that they insert this letter. Mr [Moulainy?] will take a few notes.
Tell Mr Guiffard that, under the relevant ordinance of 12 April, which I know well, everything has changed for accounting entries, which must no longer be entered in the account of Deposits and Consignments. The letter of Mr [Ruelle?] must be followed. Henceforth you are to receive in accordance with Mr [Roland’s?] instruction concerning the annuities. This matter will be considered as public revenue; therefore provisionally issue your counterfoil receipts. That is all.
A thousand kind regards. [Laffitte?]
[paraph]
