Paris 13 avril 1831.
Je V. renvoye une Lettre de M. [Juin Landres?], M. [Gobert?] m’a
dit que vous l’aviez portée chez lui, vous trouverez chez [nom non déchiffré]
des renseignemens à l’égard des motifs qui l’ont engagé à m’écrire directement,
quoiqu’il en soit, Veuillez lui répondre tout simplement que
j’ai encaissé ces 414 f d’escomptes au Compte de M. [nom non déchiffré] qui lui a
fait tenir jus qu’au 14 Janv. et voyez chez M. [Mollet?] de lui
rendre les bons qu’il doit avoir de lui entre ses mains, jusqu’à due
Concurrence, vous en écrirez ensuite aussi à [Mollet?].
Veuillez créditer Petite Caisse par le débit de Frais pour l’acquit de
fournitures Cy Jointes.
Voici les Triplicatas des achats de 50 f qui vous manquent, on n’a rien
fait depuis tant pis pour les autres.
Voici récépissé de 12,000 pr [Reiset?]
et 23,000 pr [Saint…?] fils aîné
Total 35,000 dont j’ai donné Mandat
O. [Saint…?] fils aîné pr numéraire à 50 j de date.
Prenez en Note : il en reste encore des 50 f sur les précédens.
Je reçois V. Lettre d’hier.
J’ai répondu Sommairement à plusieurs Départements.
Quoique sans Instruction de la Caisse [biffé: des Dépôts], vous pouvez
recevoir au Crédit de son Compte toutes les Sommes qui vous seront
Versées comme Souscription d’Emprunt national.
Du reste rien n’empêche d’ouvrir un Registre également chez vous
pour Ceux qui s’y présenteroient pour cela, il est [Convenu?] de ne refuser
personne, il y a ici des endroits où l’on Reçoit des Souscriptions, [mots non déchiffrés]
on en transmet [le Bordereau?] à la Commission Centrale qui est chargée des fonds.
Ainsi s’il vient quelqu’un [pour?] Souscrire, prenez sa Souscription sur un Registre
quelconque que vous ouvrirez à cet effet.

English translation
Paris, 13 April 1831.
I return to you a letter from Mr [Juin Landres?]. Mr [Gobert?] told me that you had taken it to him. You will find at [undeciphered name] information concerning the reasons which led him to write to me directly, in any case, please reply to him quite simply that I have collected these 414 francs in discount charges to the account of Mr [undeciphered name], who had it sent to him up to 14 January, and see at Mr [Mollet?] about returning to him the notes which he must have from him in his possession, up to the corresponding amount. You will then also write to [Mollet?].
Please credit petty cash by debiting Expenses for payment of the supplies enclosed herewith.
Here are the triplicates of the purchases of 50 francs which you are missing. Nothing has been done since; so much the worse for the others.
Here is a receipt for 12,000 for [Reiset?] and 23,000 for [Saint…?], the elder son, total 35,000, for which I have given a payment order to the order of [Saint…?], the elder son, for cash at 50 days from date.
Make a note: there are still some of the 50-franc items remaining from the previous ones.
I have received your letter of yesterday.
I have replied briefly to several departments.
Although without instructions from the Cash Office [crossed out: of Deposits], you may receive to the credit of its account all the sums which will be paid to you as subscriptions to the national loan.
Besides, there is nothing to prevent opening a register at your office as well for those who present themselves for that purpose. It is [agreed?] that no one is to be refused. There are places here where subscriptions are received, [undeciphered wording], and [the schedule?] is forwarded to the Central Commission responsible for the funds. Thus, if someone comes [to?] subscribe, take his subscription in any register you open for this purpose.
