English translation

Paris, 1 April 1831.

[Chauvet?] purchased yesterday:
90 francs, in the name of [Fare?];
600 — [Hebroy?];
2000 — La [Parotine?];
at 77.90, average price.

I have received your letter of yesterday.
Here are the discharge orders signed as required. I was surrounded by people at the Syndicate when I handed them over and had had no time to look carefully where they should be signed.
I think I have told you already: of the 200 francs from [Vorteau?], 160 francs should be entered to L. Reiset, and 40 to petty cash.

You remit to me 55,000 francs on Paris for acceptance, and letter No. 38 advising of a dispatch [to Le Havre?].

Here is the Louis Reiset account for March. Please make the accounting entries and return it to me.

In Mr Moreau’s account extracts I do not see the entry for the expenses incurred by [Vannoir?], according to the two notes that Mr [Blang?] sent me recently. I return them to you so that you can make the corresponding entries and [complete?] these entries on the debit side of Moreau’s account; you will see from one of the notes that the 6.85 [are?] [your?] young clerk, Mr [Joas?].

Yours entirely.

Notes

Documentary annotation: [Underlined mark at the upper left.]
The linking words in the final 6.85 notation remain uncertain. The relation between this amount and the young clerk cannot be established.
