Please tell [Corèze?] that I am far from satisfied with collections. The delay is particularly marked in the collection offices of [Anneville?], Bosc Roger, Buchy, Grand Couronne, Croismare, Duclair, Elbeuf, Quincampoix, Ry, Saint Étienne and Saint Saens, and in the fourth arrondissement of Rouen. I urge him to press these accounting officers as best he can and am returning the statement for his use.
I am also returning Mr Roy’s letter.
Today I am handing Mr d’[Aubermesnil?] the following payment orders:
10,000 francs on Neufchâtel, subject to prior acceptance;
2,000 on the same place, payable from the funds for the second ten-day period of April;
5,000 on Dieppe, on the same terms.
He is paying the total of 17,000 into the Syndicate. Give no notice of it until the Syndicate has given its own.
I have received your letter of the 23rd. I shall make inquiries at the Treasury about the claim of the Receiver General of the Dordogne. The delay is due to the fact that three Receivers General have succeeded one another in that department since December.
So here is yet another consignment of 50,000 francs. Is there no paper at all left?
A thousand friendly wishes, [paraph].

Documentary annotation: f 98/m in bills, from 2 to 5 April [numerical abbreviation as written]. The second payment order uses “Idem” to repeat Neufchâtel. Several names are uncertain. The marginal numerical abbreviation is retained as written.
