Letter - Paris, 20 March 1831.
English translation
Paris, 20 March 1831.
Please enter in the books that I am handing Madame [Bredet?] an order on the receiver-general of the Haut-Rhin for 1,117.77, payable on 21 March. This is the interest. Notify him and give him a payment order as usual.
Here is a letter for the Prefect.
Please tell me by return of post what settlements you ordinarily make with Mr Laffitte junior, for the receivers through the chief towns and in the districts, both as regards commissions and the value dates of funds or payment orders in return.
Please send me immediately twenty payment orders printed in blank, as I have none left at all.
I have received your letter of yesterday, delivering letters for [Loignon?] and the Syndicate.
Tell Moulainy that for the present there is surely no way to settle with Mr [Leprieur?] except at 1%. I should, however, be glad if they waited another two or three days so that I can ascertain what will have been done about it.
A thousand kind regards.
[paraph]
